There's no task too difficult for Junya Watanabe's design team. If you asked which footwear brand you'd expect the Japanese designer to collaborate with. it's likely many would reply with Oakley and yet here it is. Capturing the spirit of the early-2000s—a time when Watanabe's menswear was in its infancy—the Oakley Flesh Sandal is so of-its-time it's hard to imagine it in any other time period.
In a somewhat predictable move. Watanabe's palette of black-on-black is applied across the entire shoe. encompassing the nylon. synthetic suede and EVA midsole. This allows the textures of each shoe to do their thing in creating different shades in the light.
